What does mixer tell you? This little program is the volume control of your sound card. A typical output would look like: bash-2.04$ mixer Mixer vol is currently set to 100:100 Mixer bass is currently set to 50:50 Mixer treble is currently set to 50:50 Mixer synth is currently set to 75:75 Mixer pcm is currently set to 100:100 Mixer speaker is currently set to 75:75 Mixer line is currently set to 75:75 Mixer mic is currently set to 0:0 Mixer cd is currently set to 100:100 Mixer igain is currently set to 0:0 Mixer ogain is currently set to 50:50 bash-2.04$ For playing wav files the pcm and (overall) vol line are important. BTW, which program did you use and were there any error messages? Ciao Siegbert To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
