Is OK, I am usig FreeBSD 2.2.1 and gated 3.5Beta3.

Two or more routers conected with serial links with PPP, all run ROUTED,
the routing is OK.

My network configuration is OK, ifconfig -au show :
ppp0: flags=8051<UP,POINTOPOINT,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
inet 200.20.30.1 --> 200.20.30.9 netmask 0xffffff00

I am using to serial link the program "pppd" of the FreeBSD 2.2.1
Distribution.
The box have an interface ethernet, in the /etc/sysconfig:
network_interfaces=" ed0 ppp0 lp0"
ifconfig_ed0="inet 168.176.1.5 netmask 255.255.0.0"
router="routed"
router_flags=" -smt -P send_solicit rdisc_adv"
gateway="YES"
The topology :
I have two box how routers, one run gated (A) and other run routed (B),
conected with link ethernet, the router (A) anounnce OK to
other neighbor EGP, all its paths.
------ EGP -------9 RIP 1-------- RIP
| |----... --------| A |**************| B |--------
------ ------- --------
200.20.30

Gated write in file trace:
Sep 8 13:16:50
Sep 8 13:16:50 rip_recv: ignoring RIP Response packet from 200.20.30.1 +520
-not on same net
Why ?
>the format for /etc/gateways is described in routed man page.
A file /etc/gateways:
net 200.20.10.0 gateway 200.20.10.9 metric 10 active
if=ppp0 ripv2 send_solicit,rdisk_adv,redirect_ok
Itīs OK ?
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.
