PCMCIA support doesn't exist in 2.1.  There are support for some PCMCIA
cards (notably the 3C589), but generic support isn't there yet.  In
-current there is better support, and I'm working on integrating some
stuff from the BSD Nomad group in Japan into both -current and -stable.

However, the APM code is a bit of a hairy situation right now.  I'm not
expert in it and I have no documentation, although I'm trying to work
with the a couple folks to sort the APM situation out, as well as the
PC-CARD support.

We could use some more 'programmers' right now to help figure out what's
needed with both PC-CARD and APM support.
