Subject: Configuration for 100 clients Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Sender: owner-freebsd-hardware@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org I'm planning to build two Internet servers for a site that has about 100 clients with T1 connection. One will be running proxy and the other one will be running SMTP, BIND, http, and pop3(imap4 could be). I wonder if my configuration, shown as below, is good enough for 100 clients with T1 connection. Proxy server Pentium 133Mhz, Memory 64Mbytes, IDE Disk, 10BASE-T Internet server Pentium 133Mhz, Memory 32Mbytes, IDE Disk, 10BASE-T Do I need more memory, SCSI, 100BASE-T, or more powerful CPU? Any suggestions will be very appreciated for me.
