I am trying to install FreeBSD4.3 on Toshiba Satellite 3005-S403, I am installing FreeBSD via cdrom, during very initial installation phase (when kernel image gets loaded and irq's are assigned), I receive following message and after that laptop hangs .. pci0: (vendor=0x8086, dev=0x2443) at 31.3 irq 10 I have following questions: 1. Did any one try this laptop with FreeBSd4.3. 2. I wanted to have Winme+linux+FreeBSD, I created partition and then I had installed Linux successfully, even there also I was getting the same error message, only problem was that X was not working. 3. My goal is to use this laptop for my school project (using FreeBSD, other os's are for sake of knowledge), I will be using Lucent Wavelan card for experiment purposes, with my little knowledge I feel that aforesaid problem is with pcmcia to pci bridge. I would like to know if someone has used any PCMCIA card with this laptop.
