> i changed resolv.conf to 644 and it didnt work > I'm not surprised ..... good thought from Jonathan though OK .... add at least the second nameserver to resolv.conf, then configure the /etc/hosts file (FreeBSD) & the C:\Windows\hosts files so they know about all LAN machines & critical external ones like the nameservers.
