I have been running FreeBSD on my Inspiron 8000 laptop for a about a year now. I've successfully created new entries in my pccard.conf for other devices in the past. But I have this new Viking 512M card that just won't work. It works fine on my wife's Linux laptop. But Linux does things in such twisted and obfiscated ways I couldn't tell anything from it's configs. The card Id's as a TOSHIBA THNCF512MMA. I've tried everything I can think of. I even tried 'pccardc enabler' but that was getting into things that I didn't understand or couldn't figure out from 'pccardc dumpcis' I just rebooted to get a clean start after all my experimentation. I left the card in on reboot. There was no trace of it being found in dmesg or in messages. Not other than card0 inserted... I then removed it and reinserted it.
