            Bug ID: 209610
Summary: security/sudo: Fails for users with "/" in name

           Version: Latest
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Only Me
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: garga@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: christianjwhaag@gmail.com

sudo is unable to perform commands for users with a slash in their name, su=
ch
as username/admin. It will produce the following message:

sudo: unable to open /var/run/sudo/ts/username/admin: No such file or direc=
tory

We trust you have received the usual lecture from the local System
Administrator. It usually boils down to these three things:

#1) Respect the privacy of others.
    #2) Think before you type.
#3) With great power comes great responsibility.

Password:
Sorry, try again.

My workaround is to create the directory /var/run/sudo/ts/username manually.
