I understand Speakeasy's issues and policy. Agree that for me, yes, this is ridiculous. .... I'm running FBSD-4.3 on my DNS server; 4.7 on "tao.thought.org"; before I start bugging Seakeasy, it might be easier to figure out where the SASL stuff is.
