Mailing lists mentioned in the first section are not in the other, and vice versa. This patch attempts to make both lists consistent. It is a good start, but much more work will need to be done. Note 1: I have not yet build-tested this or run it through igor. That needs to be a Junior Handbook Hacker text. Note 2: the whitespace of the added text is undoubtedly wrong. This is more of a "here's what's missing" patch. Note 3: for the verbose descriptions, I have copied-and-pasted from what's in mailman. In some cases these descriptions are ungrammatical, archaic, and incomplete. Someone else will need to pick up the task of updating those. Note 4: there are two mailing lists that are completely missing a verbose description in mailman; see docs/176123 and docs/176125. I have included a stub for these two. >How-To-Repeat: >Fix: Index: doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/eresources/chapter.xml =================================================================== --- doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/eresources/chapter.xml (revision 40964) +++ doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/eresources/chapter.xml (working copy) @@ -445,6 +445,12 @@ + &a.pkg.name; + Binary package management and package tools + discussion + + + &a.platforms.name; Concerning ports to non &intel; architecture platforms @@ -630,6 +636,11 @@ + &a.ops-announce.name; + Project Infrastructure Announcements + + + &a.usergroups.name; User group coordination @@ -939,6 +950,18 @@ + &a.aic7xxx.name; + + + This list is dedicated to the discussion + of the Adaptec aic7xxx family of disk controllers + and the driver support for them in FreeBSD and Linux. + + This includes the AHA-274X, AHA-284X, AHA-2940, AHA-3940, and AHA-398X adapters. + + + + &a.acpi.name; @@ -948,6 +971,17 @@ + &a.advocacy.name; + + + Furthering the Use of FreeBSD. + + Share ideas and plan to increase the number of + companies and individuals using FreeBSD. + + + + &a.afs.name; @@ -959,6 +993,20 @@ + &a.amd64.name; + + + This is the technical mailing list. + It is for individuals actively working on porting FreeBSD + to the 64-bit platform from AMD, to bring up problems + or discuss alternative solutions. + + Individuals interested in following the technical + discussion are also welcome. + + + + &a.announce.name; @@ -976,6 +1024,16 @@ + &a.apache.name; + + + This mailing list provides a place + to discuss apache-related ports and their changes, + as well as configuration and tuning issues. + + + + &a.arch.name; @@ -1012,6 +1070,28 @@ + &a.arm.name; + + + This is the technical mailing list.
