            Bug ID: 243374
Summary: knot2 does not require python
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Some People
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: alex_y_xu@yahoo.ca

looking at the source, python is only used for "make dist" and maybe for py=
pi
distribution. the Arch package does not use python:
https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/community.git/tree/trunk/PKGBUILD?h=3Dpa=
ckages/knot.
I tested the package removing USES =3D python and it appears to compile and
operate correctly.
