This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --------------040300090301090408010406 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit After a couple of months of usage, i get random freezes. I'm using the 6.3-PRERELEASE (PC-BSD) on i386 and the generic kernel. Once, I could kill x during the 4-5 seconds before the systems stop responding. ( I had to reboot it manually ) There was another line but didn't have the time to write it on paper. Here is the message: write_dma48 retrying ( 0 retries left ) LBA 326485055 WARNING - Set_multi taskqueue Timeout completing request directly Dmesg is attached. Google has pretty much nothing interesting to say about it. I'd like to know if this is a software or hardware problem, and if there is a fix else than blindly upgrading to 6.3-RELEASE. ps: Sorry in case I'm not posting at the right mailing list Thanx, Alex --------------040300090301090408010406 Content-Type: text/plain; name="dmesg.txt" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline; filename="dmesg.txt" Copyright (c) 1992-2007 The FreeBSD Project.
