dear freebsd community

i am trying to get satan-1.1.1 to run on fbsd 2.1.

i installed perl5, successfully ran perl reconfig satan, but when i try
perl satan, it chokes on the script /satan-1.1.1/perl/targets.pl

ie there seem to be syntax errors in this script.

not being a perl hacker, i wonder if anyone can tell me how to patch
this (and any other) script so satan will run.
