Our hands our tied a little on this front. We have to wait until Sun give final branding approval before we can make a release. If that approval is forthcoming then I expect the release will follow shortly thereafter. Since I can't guarantee when Sun will give us the approval I really can't guarantee a release date :(. Sorry, but thats the best I can do. I understand your concerns but you need to know that there are processes outside the control of either the porting team or the Foundation which affect the release date. > The lack of a approved JDK for FreeBSD is threatening to drive us to a > different platform and we need a "breakthrough" with at least 1.3 to > remain and donate. If it helps, the binary release will be based on patchset 8, which is compliant in terms of green threads and the Classic JVM. -- Greg Lewis Email : glewis@eyesbeyond.com Eyes Beyond Web : http://www.eyesbeyond.com Information Technology FreeBSD : glewis@FreeBSD.org To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-java" in the body of the message
