Try holding down the Ctrl, Alt and + key at the same time when you are in xwindows. It should increase your resolution each time you press that combination. You could also edit your /etc/X11/XF86Configure file to not include the resolutions you don't want. Hope this was clear enough to help. Good luck. When I got into Xfree86 the resolution was fine and I continued to setup my Card by selecting from the list the Intel ??? Generic since I noticed that my videocard wasn't in the list, I then went to setup my screen and selected one of the 1024 x 768 screens (the one matching my screen) I then went to select a resolution of 1024 x 768, when my X server tried to restart it went into the resolution of 320 x 400, I then tried to use the resolution of 800 x 600 and still it went back into 320 x 400. Do you perhaps know what I'm doing wrong? This is my first time trying to install FreeBSD, I have managed to install quite a few distrobutions of Linux onto my machine, i.e Linux Mandrake, Corel (yuck) and my GUI / X would run fine. I know that its me not understanding this whole Xfree86 setup, so could you please tell me where Im going wrong? Thanks, Yours Faithfully Chris Grant (admin@nemasis.org) _____________________________________________________________________________________ Get more from the Web.
