Has anybody noticed that big kernels fail these days ?

	text	data	bss	dec	hex
	2256896	69632	527608	2854136	2b8cf8	/k2
	2367488	90112	530996	2988596	2d9a34	/k3

k2 boots, k3 resets after printing two lines of text. The
only difference that matters is the size. I've tried a lot
of different combinations.

To reproduce, set COPTFLAGS in /etc/make.conf to "-a -g" recompile
your kernel and "strip -d kernel" before booting it.
