I did install apsfilter as you suggested.
- I don't think it is working
because I get this
error when I try to print the test page;

I know that dvips, xpdf, gs works - as it did prior to apsfilter install.
The error seems to start as;
Error: /undefined in currentpagedevice
do you know where to go from here?
