Or it could be perceived as "stealing" a port which would lose
its -devel suffix one day.  Also, it's kind of a fake repocopy
(because there are no real ones in Git) and it helps to track
history better, to some extent.

That said, feel free to reassign as you see appropriate if you
strongly disagree.
