Yup, that was intentional. I have no use for capslock. I guess the key point that I should have mentioned is that this all worked for years. Without any changes to my ~/.Xmodmap it just stopped working after upgrading to Xorg-7.5. Thanks for your response. I'll starting digging and see what I can come up with. Cheers, Joey Mingrone
