I mount news from my FreeBSD news server onto my Sun workstation.
The news spool is mounted as (bg,soft).

If the news machine is not up, incoming telnets onto the Sun take 10
minutes to complete. I can only assume it is some sort of nfs mount timeout.

How can I fix this?
