The handbook says that the FreeBSD server will automatically tar and gzip a directory, but I can only get it to work without the gzip step: ie: cd pub/FreeBSD/FreeBSD-stable/src get sys.tar ------ works OK, sends me a tar file for sys/ get sys.tar.gz ------ does not work Have I missed something, or is the handbook wrong?
