The problem was first introduced in rev. 1.103 in -CURRENT and then
fixed in rev. 1.106.  MFC of rev. 1.103 in rev. 1.80.2.16 imported
this bug, but MFC for 1.106 happened a bit earlier in rev. 1.80.2.13,
and thus didn't include the fix.  :-)
