I have a Sony 1902 that I run on X as well as a Hitachi 19 inch monitor. I'm not sure, but I believe the 1955 is also fixed-scan at 1024x768. I use plain vanilla SVGA cards and, so I can't help you with the Gemini card, however. I am able to get the correct scan rates, sync polarities, etc from my Diamond Speedstar and Cyrrus cards, so I never bought a special card. I have cables that go from the VGA connector to BNC inputs on the monitors. I'd be glad to send you the Monitor config section from my XF86Config if it would help you. It might even work! You can probably get the horizontal and vertical scan rates on the web if you try. I believe I found several sites that listed Sony monitor specs. It's been too long, so I don't remember what they were, but they were found using AltaVista. regards, Jim Durham To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe questions" in the body of the message
