	Do you have $HOME/.nofinger file?

% touch $HOME/.nofinger
% finger jkb
finger: jkb: no such user
% id
uid=1000(jkb) gid=1000(jkb) groups=1000(jkb), 0(wheel)
% 

	Do you show up with a "w" though?
