Syslog will show when a drive fails, the controller starts to use a hotspare,
rebuilds, finishes the rebuild etc.

Not sure, as I have never looked into it, if there is anything else right now.
HP supposely just recently hired 1 engineer to start providing management
drivers for FreeBSD, so hopefully soon we will have things like hpacucli,
which allows to control the controller, like creating, extending a raid.
