The proble is that the broker says it has a corrupted registry each time it is restarted. cleaning the registry helps, however, then it has to get all the information again. I tried undefining _FreeBSD_ in the config.h as someone suggested from the Harvest mailing list, it did not work however. Do you know a solution? >From broker.out: broker: 19981101 16:29:17: Initializing the Broker... broker: 19981101 16:29:17: Using the configuration file: /usr/home/sql/harvest/brokers/epl5/admin/broker.conf broker: 19981101 16:29:17: Storage Manager: Initializing... broker: 19981101 16:29:17: Building the in-memory Registry from disk ... broker: 19981101 16:29:17: ERROR: Record Header is corrupt at offset 0: 0x00000000 0x1f3a2bec 0x00000001 broker: 19981101 16:29:17: FATAL: Could not initialize Broker. it works when I first create the broker, only it warns broker: 19981031 19:17:23: Finished Glimpse Full Indexing. broker: 19981031 19:17:23: Computing Broker statistics. dumpregistry: Bad Registry header. dumpregistry: Bad Registry header. broker: 19981031 19:17:24: Syncing Registry file. broker: 19981031 19:17:24: Finished collections. broker: 19981031 19:17:24: Starting Cleaning.
