To save Myself a lot of work I copied the following files from my 2.2.7 =
server to a new 3.0 server:

/etc/passwd
/etc/master.passwd
/etc/spwd.db
/etc/pwd.db

and just for good measure I did a "pwd_mkdb -p" to rebuild the =
databases!!!=20

I was totally amazed when I could not login!
All was not lost... I booted into single user mode and physically remove =
the password for root!

Basically; What did I miss?
I looked at /etc/auth.conf did not seem to do anything!
I looked at each of the individual entries and all the fields were =
there!
I can not run the 'passwd' program because it hangs!
HELP!
(A 5 minute job is now several hours overdue! ;) )

Greg
