I rlogin into my FreeBSD machine, and the default shell
can't seem to figure out that I want to backspace and all it
does is echo back '^H'.

If I use the bash shell, backspace works as I expect it.

What do I have to do to get the default shell to *also* perform
a backspace instead of an echo of ^H
?
TIA
