Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Hi all - I'm trying to install 3.2-19990615-STABLE on a Dell Dimension that has a "3Com 10/100 PCI For Complete PC Management 3C905C-TX" NIC in it. That name came from W98 Network Properties. FreeBSD recognizes the card as xl0 and lets me configure it, but can never connect to the FTP server. And I can't ping it from my other machines while it's trying. I started the emergency shell and verified with ifconfig that the interface is up and has the correct settings, but still no luck. Is the 905*C* not supported? Everywhere I read I see 905 and 905B, but never a C. Is it the "Complete PC Management" part? That kind of scared me... Any ideas?
