Sender: owner-questions@freebsd.org Precedence: bulk I'm running freebsd 2.1.0 and using user ppp and it connects fine to my isp and I get ip numbers and can ping the world. However, when I start to transfer a file through ftp, or try something in chimera, my whole network layer hangs. I'm running an external motorola bitsurfer pro at 115200 buad and the bitsurfer configuration works fine. I've set NMBCLUSTERS=4096, but this doesn't seem to have helped. Mostly otherwise I'm running the GENERIC kernel. As soon as I can get the kernel configuration file to work I'll post it, but in the mean time can someone, multiple someones, post their kernel configuration files showing how they are able to connect to bitsurfers/modems using user ppp that works? Thanks, Mike
