At one point, there was a notion of a temporary mailing list being setup
so all the relevant people could share their thoughts and their patches,
so that perhaps NetBSD and FreeBSD could both end up with an improved
boot system. Is this still the plan?

Even if it has to stay ultra-low-traffic for a while, due to people's
schedules, at least we could start having our thoughts/initial patches
be publicly archived.
