If it is possible to override the DSDT under FreeBSD, you might want to try the one on this website: http://acpi.sourceforge.net/dsdt/view.php?id=3D24 Now, I know this is a Linux website, but it might give you some clues as to the ACPI issues with that laptop: http://website.atix.de/dt/notebook/linux-compaq-evo-N800v.htm Keep in mind that the Linux ACPI stack is slightly ahead of FreeBSD's, so someone's success with that laptop under Linux (with a modified DSDT) may not translate to the same success under FreeBSD today. > -----Original Message----- > From: Georg-W.
