There's no separate "device apic" on amd64, it's standard part
of any kernel.  It order to turn it off, you either need to do
it in your machine's BIOS, or set hint.apic.0.disabled=3D1 in
/boot/loader.conf.

Peter, can you tweak amd64/NOTES to *not* mention "device apic",
as it's confusing?
