The following reply was made to PR ports/164199; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Jason Helfman <jgh@FreeBSD.org> To: bug-followup@freebsd.org Cc: Subject: re: ports/164199 Date: Wed, 5 Sep 2012 22:09:26 -0700 Hi, I've found this issue not to be specific to any port, but is specific to corruption of the /etc/passwd, or /etc/master.passwd files. Try running pwd_mkdb -C against either of these files to see if there is any valid corruption in your password database files. I've had this happen before, myself, and after fixing the corruption, this very error went away. For reference here is another pr regarding the same issue. http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=ports/170313 -jgh -- Jason Helfman FreeBSD Committer | http://people.freebsd.org/~jgh | The Power To Serve
