Sender: questions-owner@freebsd.org Precedence: bulk I currently have a card with 3 serial ports on it. I am trying to add sio3 on another serial card. All other ports on the second card are disabled and no device is hooked up to sio3 yet. With this setup, I get lots of sio overflows on sio2 (a US Robotics 28.8 modem). The only time this didn't happen was when I dialed out without bothering to startup X. Am I doing something totally stupid. Any ideas? This is with FreeBSD 2.0 Thanks Mark Jul 31 22:54:07 osprey kernel: Probing for devices on the ISA bus: Jul 31 22:54:07 osprey kernel: sc0 at 0x60-0x6f irq 1 on motherboard Jul 31 22:54:07 osprey kernel: sc0: VGA color <4 virtual consoles> Jul 31 22:54:07 osprey kernel: sio0 at 0x3f8-0x3ff irq 4 on isa Jul 31 22:54:07 osprey kernel: sio0: type 16450 Jul 31 22:54:07 osprey kernel: sio1 at 0x2f8-0x2ff irq 12 on isa Jul 31 22:54:07 osprey kernel: sio1: type 16550A Jul 31 22:54:07 osprey kernel: sio2 at 0x3e8-0x3ef irq 10 on isa Jul 31 22:54:07 osprey kernel: sio2: type 16550A Jul 31 22:54:07 osprey kernel: sio3 at 0x2e8-0x2ef irq 3 on isa Jul 31 22:54:07 osprey kernel: sio3: type 16550A Jul 31 22:54:07 osprey kernel: lpt0 at 0x378-0x37f irq 7 on isa Jul 31 22:54:08 osprey kernel: lpt0: Interrupt-driven port Jul 31 22:54:08 osprey kernel: lp0: TCP/IP capable interface Jul 31 22:54:08 osprey kernel: lpt1: disabled, not probed.
