You can also install it via /usr/ports/x11/XFree86-4 (and related). If you're running a current version of the ports tree, add XFREE86_VERSION=4 to /etc/make.conf, so that ports that are aware of the difference will know which to expect. What you *won't* get is access to the TV tuner, video input, and such like goodies :-(. However, video output works fine in the same modes it works for Windows.
