As i've said, hard I think it is a waste. I usually set up minimal swap to handle crash dumps. Even with that, taking a 3GB dump ain't speedy. I rarely hit SWAP on those machines, so having it is just a safeguard from crashing when ram runs out. -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Vivek Khera, Ph.D. Khera Communications, Inc.
