You could run rsync in daemon mode on server2, then use rsync on server1 to push the data to server2. See rsync(1) and rsyncd.conf(5). Assuming you have a module [backups] in rsyncd.conf on server2, you can do something like this on server1 (where part1 is a partition/directory you want to back up): rsync -acvx --delete /part1/ server2::backups/part1 Roland --=20 R.F.Smith http://www.xs4all.nl/~rsmith/ [plain text _non-HTML_ PGP/GnuPG encrypted/signed email much appreciated] pgp: 1A2B 477F 9970 BA3C 2914 B7CE 1277 EFB0 C321 A725 (KeyID: C321A725) --X1bOJ3K7DJ5YkBrT Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (FreeBSD) iEYEARECAAYFAkifQYMACgkQEnfvsMMhpyWhPgCfaaO0R8OBHzVdUVEihzWtBZWw wq8AmgJUf4378kLoFfxOcbvMZ5nFC0/7 =3zAs -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --X1bOJ3K7DJ5YkBrT--
