By now I solved the problem: I used a fixit.flp and disklabel -e and my slice names are back to normal. (Try to do this with DOS :-)))) I didn't even get the idea to try it until Wolfgang Helbig advised me to do so)!!! But - I don't want anybody to feel the fear I went through while doing so - days of configuration, hours of downloading.... :-) But now it seems OK... c u JO
