remember that -current is always in a state of change, and a 'SNAP-SHOT'
taken at any one moment is NOT guaranteed to work.  Its just the price you pay
for using the very latest code (as oppossed to say -stable).  Unfortunately,
for SMP, -current is the only choice you have...
