You might make sure you have the very latest Firefox. Meaning, cvsup today. And rebuild it. They don't mention what the real problem was so I don't know if its your issue or not. But it might help. There is a post in cvs-all@ where someone mentions java being fixed by a particular update to the port. So you may have a port that predates that fix.
