This is not done as an import of an expanded tree but rather there is a uuencoded tarball and a make file that does the magic. Over time this kind of thing is likely to become our modus operandi for "contrib" class of things, and suitable macroized makefiles will be developed to sanitize out Makefiles. Comments and Ideas most welcome!
