	YMMV, but I saw an error like this on my old x4 CD-ROM drive and
upgrading it to a x48 CD-ROM drive allowed dagrab to work without a hitch.
(Actually, it was ripenc's calling of dagrab, but its the same idea.)  So
maybe your CD-ROM drive is old enough to not support some of the calls
that dagrab makes.  I forget what the system is called (digital audio
sampling?) but apparently its not in many older drives.  BTW, both of my
drives are/were ATAPI drives.
