Thanx for all the input... Upgraded the ports, all fine. Got a working Perl
5.8.7 ::-)

     * I'm not quite sure why I didn't do a cvsup after the base
installation was done.

Subject: Upgrade Perl to 5.8.7
Importance: High

Hi

We are trying to install a package on freeBSD that requires Perl 5.8.7

Is there any way to install Perl 5.8.7 through the ports as the latest
version I can install is Perl 5.8.5

If that is the latest version available through the ports, then can someone
point me in the right direction to get version 5.8.7 installed ??

* I have perl-5.8.7.tbz download from the net, but I can't figure out how to
install it.

Thanks

GM
