Testing on -current has proven to be a bit of a problem. I've built a kerne=
l=20
using cvs HEAD src/sys (and src/usr.sbin/config), and I first tried the=20
GENERIC config (to be as close to the binary distribution kernels as=20
possible). The system boots fine, but doesn't bring up my network connectio=
n=20
(provided by the dc driver) - as this is a headless box, I was left typing=
=20
blindly from a terminal.

With these issues I can't do a full upgrade to -current, but I've done some=
=20
blind testing with the GENERIC kernel. Without the patch, the kernel still=
=20
panics when attempting to run the Speedtouch software. With the patch in=20
place, the panic is averted and the modem goes on to establish a connection.

Any testing in -current beyond that is a bit difficult at the moment, for=20
obvious reasons. :|

Cheers,
Jay
