A few weeks ago i was curious how the 'Auto Defaults for all' option in /stand/sysinstall disklabel assigned the partition sizes. So i looked at the sysinstall source code and noticed the following minimums for the filesystem: root_minimum = 20 MB swap_minimum = 16 MB usr_minimum = 80 MB var_minimum = 30 MB for a total of 146 MB, since the /usr filesystem gets all the remaining diskspace it will complain if < 80 MB is available for it.
