I've had cc core dump during just about every make world attempt I do on
a 2.2.8-STABLE system I've been running, a K6/2-350, but I suspect the
motherboard since it is one of those cheap pcchips boards.  It has only
completely crashed once when I tried to backup some big files from the
internal SCSI drive to an external SCSI tape drive.
