The author of this article could have elaborated a bit more on several historical developments: 386BSD is not mentioned and BSDI only in passing. Nevertheless, it is quite a good article, certainly worth a link from the "In The Media" column on the FreeBSD home page (freebsd-www@ cc'ed for that reason).
