Umm, the error I encountered was

RADEON(0): [drm] Failed to open DRM device for pci:0000:00:01.0: No such file
or directory

You are suggesting doing another install of FreeBSD (I have Arch Linux
installed on the machine now) and installing the fbdev driver to fix this? I'm
sorry, but that doesn't make a lot of sense.
