https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D209504 Bug ID: 209504 Summary: editors/emacs: fresh 10.3-RELEASE-p2 system refuses to build with any X toolkit Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: ashish@FreeBSD.org Reporter: c.twelve@gmail.com Flags: maintainer-feedback?(ashish@FreeBSD.org) Assignee: ashish@FreeBSD.org Created attachment 170276 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D170276&action= =3Dedit CONFIG LOG: from build attempting Motif toolkit Hello, This one has caused me some remarkable issues, so I thought I'd share. All = of the issues seem to revolve around libraries and the port's inability to find them. For example, when building with Motif: configure: error: The following required libraries were not found: libXpm libjpeg libpng libgif/libungif libtiff Maybe some development libraries/packages are missing? If you don't want to link with them give --with-xpm=3Dno --with-jpeg=3Dno --with-png=3Dno --with-gif=3Dno --with= -tiff=3Dno Except...all those libraries are installed. [ctwelve@deadpool /usr/ports/editors/emacs]$ pkg info | grep 'xpm\|jpeg\|png\|gif\|tiff' giflib-5.1.3 Tools and library routines for working with = GIF images jpeg-turbo-1.4.2 SIMD-accelerated JPEG codec which replaces libjpeg openjpeg-2.1.1 Open-source JPEG 2000 codec openjpeg15-1.5.2_1 Open-source JPEG 2000 codec png-1.6.21 Library for manipulating PNG images tiff-4.0.6_1 Tools and library routines for working with = TIFF images When I attempt with GTK2 (the default) I get this: checking for gtk+-2.0 >=3D 2.10 glib-2.0 >=3D 2.10... yes CFLAGS=3D'-I/usr/local/include/gtk-2.0 -I/usr/local/include/pango-1.0 -I/usr/local/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/local/lib/glib-2.0/include -I/usr/local/include -I/usr/local/include/cairo -I/usr/local/include/pixman= -1 -I/usr/local/include/freetype2 -I/usr/local/include/libpng16 -I/usr/local/include/libdrm -I/usr/local/include/harfbuzz -I/usr/local/include/gdk-pixbuf-2.0 -I/usr/local/include/atk-1.0 -D_THREAD_= SAFE -pthread ' LIBS=3D'-L/usr/local/lib -lgtk-x11-2.0 -lgdk-x11-2.0 -lpangocairo-1.0 -latk-1.0 -lcairo -lpthread -lgdk_pixbuf-2.0 -lgio-2.0 -lpangoft2-1.0 -lpango-1.0 -lgobject-2.0 -lfontconfig -lfreetype -lglib-2.0 -lintl ' checking whether GTK compiles... no configure: error: Gtk+ wanted, but it does not compile, see config.log. Ma= ybe some x11-devel files missing? =3D=3D=3D> Script "configure" failed unexpectedly. Please report the problem to ashish@FreeBSD.org [maintainer] and attach the "/usr/ports/editors/emacs/work/emacs-24.5/config.log" including the output of the failure of your make command. Also, it might be a good idea to provi= de an overview of all packages installed on your system (e.g. a /usr/local/sbin/pkg-static info -g -Ea). Again, the appropriate packages are installed, and in fact freshly built: [ctwelve@deadpool /usr/ports/editors/emacs]$ pkg info | grep gtk gtk-doc-1.24 Code documentation system, originally for GT= K+ gtk-update-icon-cache-2.24.29 Gtk-update-icon-cache utility from the Gtk+ toolkit gtk2-2.24.29_2 Gimp Toolkit for X11 GUI (previous stable version) webkit-gtk2-2.4.11 Opensource browser engine using the GTK+ 2 toolkit wx30-gtk2-3.0.2_4 The wxWidgets GUI toolkit with GTK+ bindings No matter what X widget set I select, it throws some library error, and in every case, all the libraries are present. I'm not entirely sure what to ma= ke of this. I've attached the config log the pkg list on my system. All have b= een built with Portmaster. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
